How to Stake Canton Coin

Step-by-Step Delegation Through Bron and C8 Wallet

What you'll need

  • A funded Canton wallet (Bron, C8 Wallet, Zoro, or Console)
  • Some CC to delegate (any amount — you can start small to test)
  • A few minutes

Step-by-step

  1. Step 1

    Open your wallet's staking screen

In Bron, tap Earn then Stake. In C8 Wallet, navigate to Staking. In Zoro Wallet, open the Validator panel. The screen lists active Super Validators with their current reward rates and uptime stats.

  2. Step 2

    Pick a Super Validator

Filter by uptime (target above 99%), reward rate (within 0.5% of the median is fine), and total stake (avoid concentration — pick a validator with less than 15% network share to spread risk). Read each validator's name; some are institutionally branded (Goldman, JPMorgan), others are independent operators.

  3. Step 3

    Choose delegation amount

Decide how much CC to delegate. You can delegate a portion of your balance and keep the rest liquid. Most wallets show estimated APY based on the amount and chosen validator.

  4. Step 4

    Confirm delegation

Review the validator name, amount, and effective round when delegation activates. Confirm with biometric or PIN. The wallet broadcasts a delegation transaction to the Canton ledger.

  5. Step 5

Wait for the delegation to activate

Active stake typically begins earning rewards from the next reward round. Round duration on Canton Network is short (sub-hourly typical); your wallet shows when delegation is live.

  6. Step 6

    Track rewards

Rewards land each round. Bron shows round-by-round payouts and a running total; C8 Wallet shows the same with multi-sig audit trail; other wallets show a simpler running total. Most wallets let you choose to auto-compound or manually claim.

  7. Step 7

    Unbond when needed

To withdraw delegation, click Undelegate or Unbond in the staking screen. The unbonding period on Canton is short — typically under 24 hours. After unbonding, the CC returns to your liquid balance.
